Senior Developer (Analysis) / Core Reporting

Work Location - Remote (DHS treats remote network access as a privilege rather than a contractual guarantee, allowing work at assigned or other designated locations).
Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship Required; Ability to complete DHS suitability, background investigation, and Entry-on-Duty requirements.
Experience - 5-8+ Years of Substantial Statistical Programming and Data Analysis Experience.
Objective Summary
We are seeking an enterprise Senior Developer (Analysis) / Core Reporting expert to produce and validate high-visibility recurring and ad hoc statistical products. This critical analytical role focuses on processing near-real-time data ingested from multiple internal agency networks and external partner-agency sources. The ideal candidate must possess an extensive professional chronology demonstrating roughly 5 to 8+ years of data analyst or statistical programming experience. This timeline should showcase strong capabilities delivering clean, error-free reporting metrics destined for senior agency leadership, Congress, and the White House.

This expert will serve on a high-velocity core reporting team dedicated to extracting datasets, investigating unexpected metric fluctuations, and ensuring total statistical accuracy.
Mandatory Compliance Metrics
Candidates must satisfy these strict gates to ensure a successful Government onboarding determination:
  • Resume must explicitly reflect 5 to 8+ years of total statistical analysis or data programming experience with verified history processing large administrative datasets.
  • Demonstrated day-to-day programming mastery writing complex, optimized queries using Advanced SQL and comparable analytical toolsets.
  • Must accept a rigorous, flexible production posture supporting a mandatory seven-day-per-week operational reporting environment, including weekend coverage and staggered holiday schedules.
Principal Responsibilities
  • Produce and validate critical recurring daily, weekly, and monthly statistical products tracking homeland security and border conditions.
  • Extract, transform, and reconcile large datasets pulled across disparate agency infrastructure nodes and operational databases.
  • Conduct proactive data analysis to investigate unexplained changes, anomalies, or systemic shifts in reported operational metrics.
  • Design and execute optimized SQL search filters and transformation logic to maintain system performance under tight deadlines.
  • Execute predictive trend analysis, time-series evaluations, and forecasting models to inform high-level agency decision-making paths.
  • Format analytical findings into clear, structured, and professional written presentations adapted for non-technical executive stakeholders.
  • Support staggered shift coverage configurations and serve as cross-functional technical backup for fellow senior data analysts on the reporting team.
Core Data & Architecture Capabilities
  • Expert level engineering knowledge utilizing Advanced SQL dialects, database query optimization, and large-dataset analysis models.
  • Complete programmatic mastery executing data extraction, transformation, data-quality checking, and structural reconciliation routines.
  • Deep functional proficiency parsing complex analytical trends using Excel at an advanced level or comparable business intelligence platforms.
  • Strong foundations executing statistical programming rules utilizing Python, R, SAS, or comparable backend mathematical stacks.
Governance, Clearance & Government Infrastructure
  • Comprehensive mastery protecting unclassified sensitive federal information, restricted datasets, and personal identity frameworks (PII).
  • Knowledge of federal statistical program reporting guardrails, information security requirements, and data governance policies.
  • Ability to work effectively under compressed timelines, emergency agency data calls, and strict government submission windows.
Preferred Domain Expertise
  • Prior professional experience supporting high-visibility executive reporting requirements or data management teams within DHS, CBP, ICE, USCIS, EOIR/DOJ, HHS, or Census.
  • Deep background processing federal law enforcement statistics, border security data vectors, or complex immigration administrative datasets.
  • Experience operating within staggered, multi-shift project teams to maintain continuous operational coverage across weekends or federal holidays.
