The Position:
 
Chameleon Integrated Services is currently looking for an Information Assurance Engineer to support one of our federal clients at Lackland AFB.
 
This position requires a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

This position will be working Monday-Friday on day shift.
 
Overview:


Provide Risk Management Framework (RMF) support and establish and satisfy complex system-wide information security requirements based upon analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands. Provide guidance to customers at the highest levels in policy development and implementation. Apply know-how to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Assigned within the 688 CW Wing Cybersecurity Office acts as the subject matter expert providing RMF support for the 688 CW Assessment and Authorization (A&A) program (20+ systems).
  • Maintain a system-level program that includes cyber security architecture, requirements, objectives, policies, processes and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a Wing-wide A&A digital repository for all organizational or system-level cyber security-related documentation.
  • Ensure IA security controls are implemented consistent with DoD and DoD Component IA architectures and standards, employing system and software engineering methodologies, security engineering principles, and secure information assurance techniques.
  • Assess the security controls in accordance with the security assessment plan and DoD assessment procedures, documenting compliance as part of the overall security control assessment.
  • Review, verify, and assemble final security authorization package for approval. Continuously monitor the entire A&A portfolio for security-relevant events and configuration changes that impact system security posture.
  • Assess the quality of security controls implementation against performance indicators, such as: security incidents; feedback from external inspection agencies (e.g., OIG DoD, Government Accountability Office (GAO); exercises; and operational evaluations, including Director, OT&E IA, assessments.
  • Provide guidance and tools for implementing and executing system RMF and is the authoritative source for RMF guidance and policy.
  • Implement a system decommissioning strategy, when needed, which executes required actions when an IS system is removed from service.
  • Create, manage, and maintain artifacts for 688 CW Learning Management System.
  • Provide guidance on equipment entry/exit requirements for secure areas.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:
 
  • Requires 4-7 years of related technical and RMF experience

Certs Required:
  • IAM III Level Certification (CISSP, CASP, CCNP, CISA, CCSP, GCED, GCHI)
